Changing light modes is simple, I do not want to fumble for the proper setting when needed. The housing is robust, fit and finish excellent. I highly recommend this light as a primary flashlight. Out performs pelican and Maglite. Two things I immediately reach for in threatening situations,this flashlight and my Glock. Very bright light! I don't use the other two (dimmer) light settings. Not neccessary for me. Very rugged. Charges fast. Battery lasts a long time. This light was an upgrade to my first Streamlight which was I bought 6 years ago, the Streamlight Stinger with the large head (not LED). That first light had its issues especially after dropping it. This Streamlight Stinger DS LED HP is amazingly bright, the dual switch is awesome (my first light had only a tail switch- limiting options for shooting positions) battery life is way longer than the original and seems sturdier and more re-enforced.
